Baseball Recap: Butler Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hanover Park, Butler was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Elmwood Park Crusaders as they made off with an 11-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the game before.

Butler's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Elmwood Park, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler will venture away from home to square off against Glen Rock at 4:00 p.m. on the 9th. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
