Walter Panas had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Rye Garnets on Tuesday as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Vinny Lugo looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, Alex DiLorenzo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gianni Generoso, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Walter Panas' victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Rye, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

As of now, neither Walter Panas nor the Garnets have any future games scheduled.
