Volleyball Recap: Portage Find Success

Portage won the last time they faced Stoughton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Warriors walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vikings.

Portage can attribute much of their success to Christina Geltemeyer, who had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces Geltemeyer has posted since back in September. Trinity Williams also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Portage was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Portage's victory bumped their record up to 19-14. As for Stoughton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 22 of their last 23 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-28 record this season.

Portage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Mount Horeb on the 11th. As for Stoughton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against McFarland on the 11th.
