Baseball Recap: Shadow Hills Victorious

Shadow Hills lost to Rancho Mirage last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rattlers 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Nicholas Rodriquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. Shadow Hills is 4-2 when Rodriquez allows one or fewer earned runs, but 9-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Shadow Hills saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Briceno, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Arturo Aviles also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Shadow Hills' record is now 13-15. As for Rancho Mirage, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 15-12 record.

As of now, neither Shadow Hills nor the Rattlers have any future games scheduled.
