Soccer Game Preview: Woodberry Forest vs. Norfolk Academy + Official Tickets

The Woodberry Forest Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Woodberry Forest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: St. Christopher's, who was ranked first at the time (Woodberry Forest was ranked 13th). Neither the Tigers nor the Saints could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Academy entered their tilt with Catholic on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Crusaders 4-0. Considering Norfolk Academy have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

With that draw, Woodberry Forest's record moves to 8-4-3. As for Norfolk Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-2.

Woodberry Forest skirted past Norfolk Academy 1-0 when the teams last played on October 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
