Baseball Recap: Lexington Gets the Win

Lexington's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the McNairy Central Bobcats by a score of 4-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Logan Hayes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. Those three hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, Ross McDaniel was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Lexington's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for McNairy Central, they dropped their record down to 7-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Lexington will have a chance to go back-to-back against McNairy Central: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
