Volleyball Recap: Fayetteville Christian Find Success

Fayetteville Christian's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-14, 22-25, 25-18, 25-13.

Ainsley Porter paced Fayetteville Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Porter were helped by Stella Mendoza and Kennedi Quinn, who contributed 11 assists each. Porter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Fayetteville Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Fayetteville Christian will challenge Trinity Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill has already played their next game (against Cristo Rey Research Triangle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
