Teton has won three straight games at home, while Sugar-Salem has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Timberwolves will welcome the Diggers at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Teton barely beat West Jefferson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Timberwolves were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Panthers on Friday. That's two games straight that the Timberwolves have won by exactly 11 runs.

Gracie Kincaid made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Kincaid was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 12 games she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kadence Hansen, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Calli Wombacher, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Teton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are 10-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sugar-Salem). Everything went their way against South Fremont on Thursday as they made off with a 22-13 victory. The game was the first time the Diggers have beaten the Cougars on their field since April 23, 2024.
Sugar-Salem got a massive performance out of Seneca Bitter, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Bitter has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Christensen, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Teton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Sugar-Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Sugar-Salem's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Teton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Sugar-Salem, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Teton's sizable advantage in that area, the Diggers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Teton couldn't quite finish off Sugar-Salem when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 21-19. Will the Timberwolves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
