Soccer Recap: Cedartown Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cartersville, Cedartown was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Cass Colonels by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Chasity Washington and Julianna Segura scored both of Cedartown's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Cedartown's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Cass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Cedartown and Cass could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Cedartown (ranked 227th) will meet Dalton (ranked 80th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cass will square off against Allatoona at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 324 places (355 vs. 31).
