Baseball Recap: Berean Christian's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Berean Christian's victory against Concord wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles skirted past the Bears 1-0. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

The result came thanks to Luke Upshaw's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, Berean Christian's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zack Upshaw, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Upshaw has hit this season.

Berean Christian's record now sits at 10-5. As for Concord, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Berean Christian will challenge rival Mt. Diablo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Concord is set to square off against their familiar foe Las Lomas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
