Basketball Recap: Little Elm Find Success

Little Elm saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 61-53 win over the Red Oak Hawks.

Despite the defeat, Red Oak had strong showings from Jaxon Thomas, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds, and Anthony Burdine, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 15 points and six boards. Thomas also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Boris Tolbert, who posted ten points and three steals.

Little Elm's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Red Oak, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Little Elm didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 97-57 win against Reedy on the 21st. As for Red Oak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-28 victory against Anna on the 21st.
