Basketball Game Preview: KIPP Legacy vs. Barstow Knights

KIPP Legacy will challenge the Barstow Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Monday, KIPP Legacy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Park Hill. While losing is never fun, KIPP Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Park Hill is ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Barstow was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to Washburn Rural on the road by a 71-55 margin.

KIPP Legacy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Barstow, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

KIPP Legacy came up short against Barstow in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 62-56. Can KIPP Legacy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
