Tokay had won six straight games dating back to last season and Amire Fleming did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Tigers strolled past the Golden Valley Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 41-23 for which the team can thank Fleming, who rushed for 223 yards and four scores while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Tokay didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mason Addington and Eduardo Ochoa. Ochoa got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Tokay's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Golden Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Tokay will face off against Pleasant Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Golden Valley, they will challenge Elk Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
