Volleyball Recap: Summit Shasta Comes Up Short at Home Against Lincoln

Summit Shasta unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Lincoln Mustangs on Thursday. If the Black Bears were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-19.

Lincoln's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Summit Shasta will venture away from home to square off against San Mateo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on University at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
