Alpha - West recap October 22, 2013
Viewpoint added to the longest winning streak in Alpha - West this week by beating Sierra Canyon, 17-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Patriots.
Viewpoint made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,129 from 5,411. The advance stemmed from a 17-10 victory over the Trailblazers last week.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Sierra Canyon's Andre Nunez and Isaiah Renfro have proven to be a lethal combination. Nunez has thrown for 1,336 yards this season, while Renfro, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 48 catches for 716 yards. Dominick Brown from Chris Adamson's team leads the league in rushing with 873 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Jon Ellinghouse's team takes on Kilpatrick. As it stands, the Trailblazers are in third, while the Mustangs are in second.
The Patriots led Alpha - West in points allowed with 10.
