Basketball Recap: First Colonial Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ocean Lakes last Friday, First Colonial came back down to earth. The First Colonial Patriots were dealt an 85-48 defeat at the hands of the Kellam Knights on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost eight in a row.

First Colonial's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Kellam, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Colonial and Cox will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Kellam, they will square off against Kempsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
