Baseball Recap: Scarborough Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Scarborough had won nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped their record up to 2-0 to make it ten. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bonny Eagle Scots 4-2. The Red Storm haven't had any issues with the Scots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Nate Masters looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Matthew Fallona, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Cam Wellman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bonny Eagle fell to 2-1. They have struggled against Scarborough recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

On Bonny Eagle's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Atticus Dixon, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
