Baseball Game Preview: Westside Rams vs. Dreher Blue Devils

The Westside Rams will be taking part in a tournament against the Dreher Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Westside is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

While Westside didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Spring Valley on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Holmes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He also stole a stolen base, marking his first of the season. Jace Haynes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Dreher fell victim to White Knoll and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 15-0 to the Timberwolves.

Westside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Dreher, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
