Waltrip and Madison are an even 5-5 against one another  since September of 2015, but  not for long. The Rams will head out to  face off against the Marlins  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
Waltrip took a loss when they played away from home  last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They claimed a resounding  50-12 win over Austin. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.

 James 'Jimmy' Haren produced another solid  effort throwing for 186 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 41 yards and one  score. His passing game has become a key predictor of Waltrip's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.  Zyon Gamble also helped with two TDs in total.
 Waltrip didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Connor Bray and  Justin Henry. Henry has been hot recently, having also posted five or more  total tackles the last three times he's  played. Bray got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, Madison made easy work of Spring Woods  on Friday and carried off  a  39-13 win. That's two games straight that the Marlins have won by  exactly 26  points.
 Waltrip's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
 Everything came up roses for Waltrip against Madison when the teams last played  back in November of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  31-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
