Football Recap: South Laurel Takes a Loss

After flying high against Perry County Central last Friday, South Laurel came back down to earth. The Cardinals had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Pulaski County Maroons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cardinals have suffered since October 18, 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Laurel fell to 7-1. As for Pulaski County, their record is now 5-2.

Coming up, South Laurel will face off against Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pulaski County, they will square off against North Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars' defense has only allowed nine points per game this season, so the Maroons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
