Recap: Flowery Branch Falcons vs. Heritage Patriots
On Friday, The Flowery Branch Falcons never let their opponents score. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over Heritage on the road. Given Flowery Branch's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Heritage is ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Josh Oliver continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 376 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.3 yards per attempt, and also punching in a rushing score. Jeremiah Ware was in the mix as well, providing Flowery Branch with two touchdowns.
Flowery Branch's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Heritage, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Flowery Branch will face off against Creekside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Creekside will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
