Basketball Recap: Dixie Skates Past GREEN Upstate with Ease

There's no place like home for Dixie, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They blew past the GREEN Upstate Owls 46-13 on Friday. The team accrued 36 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.

Jaylia Turner was her usual excellent self, putting up ten points and five steals. Turner is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Kerrie O'Shields was another key player, posting 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Dixie's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for GREEN Upstate, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Dixie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-19 defeat against Abbeville on the 7th. As for GREEN Upstate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-13 loss against Calhoun Falls Charter on the 7th.
