Thousand Islands not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 11, 2024 (when they won 34-0). They put the hurt on the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks with a sharp 36-12 win. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 46-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Defeat or not, Tupper Lake got some senior leadership from Cohen Gerstenberger and Liam McClain. Gerstenberger gained 77 total yards and a touchdown, while McClain rushed for 93 yards and one score.

The victory made it two in a row for Thousand Islands and bumps their season record up to 2-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-4 Tupper Lake and 1-3 Clinton. As for Tupper Lake, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Thousand Islands will host Bishop Grimes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tupper Lake, they will venture away from home to challenge Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lumberjacks will be up against the Comets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
