Baseball Recap: Jefferson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Jefferson took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Dundee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears won by a run and slipped past the Vikings 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since April 18th.

Jefferson's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16. As for Dundee, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Coming up, Jefferson will venture away from home to take on Huron at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chiefs have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Dundee, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Napoleon at 4:00 p.m. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
