Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Crestwood

Crestwood's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They secured a 60-54 W over the Thurston Eagles. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Chargers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Eagles are ranked 85th).

Crestwood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Thurston, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Coming up, Crestwood and Trenton will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. One thing working in Crestwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Thurston, they are taking a road trip to take on Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th.
