Volleyball Recap: Taos' Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games + How To Watch

It was a good run, but Taos unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Los Alamos Hilltoppers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since September 16th.

While Taos was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 25-16.

Leading Los Alamos to victory were Alyssa Herrera and Lauren Evenhus. Herrera had 21 digs and two assists, while Evenhus had five digs and five aces. Evenhus is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Taos' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-7. As for Los Alamos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-10.

Coincidentally, Taos and Los Alamos will both be playing Moriarty the next time they take the court. The Hilltoppers will head out to face the Pintos at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
