Chittenango is 8-2 against Westhill since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Chittenango will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Chittenango's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Jordan-Elbridge. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
Not much got past Lauren Machan, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Jordan-Elbridge off the board. Machan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, MacKenna Palko was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anabelle Granata, who earned three runs and two stolen bases.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chittenango kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Westhill and Marcellus meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Warriors lost 14-4 to the Mustangs.
Grace Horning was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Cadence Ramsing was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Chittenango's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Westhill, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.
Chittenango's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. The Bears have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Westhill, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Chittenango continue to outrun the ball?
Chittenango took their win against Westhill in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-7 score. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
