Softball Recap: Maple Hill's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Maple Hill's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 15-10 victory over the Watervliet Cannoneers. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Amalya LaPlante was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Faiel Glasheen-Haase, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Maple Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Watervliet only posted an OBP of .405.

With the victory, Maple Hill broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-11. As for Watervliet, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
