Basketball Recap: Pendleton Heights Piles Up the Points Against Delta

There's no place like home for Pendleton Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 76-48 victory over the Delta Eagles. The Arabians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Pendleton Heights to victory were Kaycie Warfel and Adah Hupfer. Warfel went 11 for 24 on her way to 32 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals, while Hupfer dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Hupfer has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 22 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Jones, who posted seven points and three steals.

Delta's loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Jillian Barr and Griffyn Knight. Barr went 8 of 16 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds, while Knight put up 14 points and four steals.

Pendleton Heights now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Delta, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton Heights will take on Fishers in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Delta and Eastbrook will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Delta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
