Volleyball Recap: Strafford's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Strafford had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Fair Grove Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Thursday.

Blair Bough paced Strafford's offense, picking up 18 kills. Bough got some help from Reese Darnell and her 28 assists. Darnell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, Fair Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Taylor Waltz had 27 assists and eight digs. Waltz is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Strafford's record is now 29-4-2. As for Fair Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-12-3.

Strafford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Logan-Rogersville on the 25th. Fair Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
