Softball Recap: Bowie Jackrabbits vs. Henrietta Bearcats
Bowie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Henrietta Bearcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bowie of the 16-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
For Henrietta's part, they got a massive performance out of Kaitlyn Bryant, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Preslee Branch, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-2. As for Henrietta, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6-1 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bowie is on the road again on Friday to play Jacksboro at 5:00 p.m. Jacksboro is coming into the matchup with 11 straight victories at home, so Bowie will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Henrietta, they will head out on the road to square off against City View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
