Basketball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against High Point Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesleyan Christian Academy). They blew past the High Point Central Bison 89-18 on Friday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Wesleyan Christian Academy to victory were Hannah Forester and Sara Kate Carr. Forester went 10 of 13 en route to 20 points and five steals, while Carr went 6 of 9 on her way to 15 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Forester is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hawley, who posted nine points and seven assists.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Wesleyan Christian Academy, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for High Point Central, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Wesleyan Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-45 win against Davie on the 28th. As for High Point Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-11 loss against Northwest Cabarrus on the 28th.
