Basketball Recap: Boonville Pioneers vs. Heritage Hills Patriots
The Boonville Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Heritage Hills on the road by a decisive 67-48 margin. While losing is never fun, Boonville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Patriots are ranked 48th).
Trent Sisley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Heritage Hills, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Sisley has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 13 times he's played. Jake Prior was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Boonville has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Heritage Hills, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Boonville will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage Hills, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
