            Volleyball Recap: Edison Tigers vs. Hoover Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Edison was the  2-1 winner over Hoover when they last played one another  back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell  3-1 to the Patriots on Thursday.
 Edison was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hoover work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-22,  26-24.
 Sadie Mayer paced Edison's offense, picking up 14 kills. Mayer got some help from  Natalia Nunez Canada and her 32 assists. Mayer was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with seven aces.
Edison's loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Hoover,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 24-9.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Edison is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Madera  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hoover will  take on  rival Sanger West  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
