Volleyball Recap: Alliance Falls Short Against Ranked Gering

Alliance faced Gering in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Alliance fell 2-0 to Gering. The defeat continues a trend for Alliance in their meetings with Gering: they've now lost seven in a row.

Alliance's offense was headlined by Addy Weber and Kaiah Adams, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Paz Cody and her five assists. Brinlee Lanik controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Gering found their leader in freshman Adriana Canales, who had nine digs and four assists.

Alliance now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Gering, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Alliance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Southeast on the 30th. As for Gering, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sundance on the 30th.
