The St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors will head out to take on the Beverly Hills Normans at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy came up short against Santa Ana Valley and fell 6-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joshua Rios made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Eleazar Garcia also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Beverly Hills waltzed into their game last Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Cougars as they made off with a 19-2 win. With that victory, the Normans brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Race Findley was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jake Carlson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Beverly Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .628. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hawthorne only posted an OBP of .292.

Beverly Hills picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-7-1. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
