Basketball Game Preview: Dundee-Crown Chargers vs. Jacobs Golden Eagles + Official Tickets

The Dundee-Crown Chargers will take on the Jacobs Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dundee-Crown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Wednesday, Dundee-Crown ended up a good deal behind Cary-Grove and lost 47-29.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Jacobs and Prairie Ridge meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Golden Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Wolves are ranked 355th).

Dundee-Crown will have to contain Elijah Bell as he made an impact in Jacobs' last game. He posted 16 points and five assists. Bell has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Malachi Bell, who scored 12 points.

Jacobs' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Dundee-Crown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Dundee-Crown was able to grind out a solid victory over Jacobs in their previous matchup back in February, winning 43-35. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
