Softball Recap: Haskell Gets the Win

The Haskell Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Kennedale Wildcats 8-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Haskell let Reagan Adkins and Landri Adkins run wild. Reagan got on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Landri went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Rebekah Cunningham, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Haskell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

The victory got Haskell back to even at 4-4. As for Kennedale, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Coming up, Haskell will challenge Mineral Wells at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. As for Kennedale, they will head out on the road to challenge Ferris at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
