Basketball Recap: Laguna Beach Takes a Loss

After flying high against Costa Mesa on Wednesday, Laguna Beach came back down to earth. The Breakers had to suffer through an 88-56 loss at the hands of the Aliso Niguel Wolverines. The Breakers have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Laguna Beach's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Aliso Niguel, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Laguna Beach will be taking part in a tournament against Cabrillo at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Breakers' defense better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 55.4 points per game this season. As for Aliso Niguel, they will be home for the holidays to greet San Clemente at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
