If The Hawken Hawks were riding high off their 40-20 takedown of the Chagrin Falls Tigers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hawken was outmatched by Perry at home and fell 47-7. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, Hawken couldn't push the score so high this time.

Donovan Moorhead threw for 91 yards on 11 of 23 attempts. Charlie Mallett was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Jordan Johnson rushed for 39 yards.

Hawken's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Perry, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Hawken will head out on the road to face off against Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneva knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Hawken likes a good challenge. As for Perry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crestwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crestwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 540th, while Perry is ranked 24th).
