A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Edinburg North Cougars challenge the Edinburg Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Edinburg North will be strutting in after a victory while Edinburg will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Edinburg North against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo as the squad secured a 62-26 win. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Bears are ranked 1253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Edinburg's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Weslaco.

Edinburg's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-9. As for Edinburg North, their victory bumped their record up to 20-15.

Edinburg North came up short against Edinburg when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 55-49. Can Edinburg North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
