Basketball Game Preview: JW North Huskies vs. Lawndale Cardinals

The JW North Huskies will be taking part in a tournament against the Lawndale Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. JW North comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

JW North is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Norte Vista on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Huskies took a blow against the Braves, falling 99-45. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-21.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 26-26 at halftime, Lawndale was not quite Dorsey's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons.

JW North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Lawndale, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything came up roses for JW North against Lawndale in their previous meeting back in January of 2016, as the team secured an 89-43 victory. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
