Softball Recap: Tri-City Takes a Loss

Tri-City has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 10-1 to the Auburn Trojans. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.

Tri-City's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Auburn, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-City will take on Pleasant Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburn, they will face off against Pawnee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
