Preview: Delhi Bears vs. Delta Charter Storm
Delhi has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Delta Charter Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delhi will be strutting in after a win while Delta Charter will be coming in after a loss.
After only two points in their last contest, Delhi made sure to put some points up on the board against Tensas on Friday. Delhi claimed a resounding 68-40 victory over Tensas at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Delhi has posted since December 16, 2023.
Delhi got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Dural out in front who scored 22 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dural has scored all season. Jay Wright was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight steals and five assists.
Meanwhile, Delta Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 76-56 walloping at the hands of Delhi Charter. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Delhi's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. As for Delta Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Delhi strolled past Delta Charter in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 86-69. Will Delhi repeat their success, or does Delta Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
