Basketball Game Preview: Biggs Wolverines vs. Hamilton Braves

Biggs and Hamilton are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Biggs Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hamilton Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Hamilton will be up against a hot Biggs squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Biggs took down Quincy 61-46 on Friday.

Brady Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 of 18 en route to 24 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. Hunter Seipert was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Hamilton against Maxwell on Friday as the team secured a 56-26 victory. With that win, the Braves brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Biggs better keep an eye on Kayden Strong. He was instrumental in Hamilton's win, putting up 15 points along with six boards and six steals. Strong has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Case Porter, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Hamilton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
