Volleyball Recap: Land O' Lakes Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Arianna Garcia and Amelia Colon + How To Watch

Land O' Lakes lost against Sunlake back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gators lost 3-0 to the Seahawks. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Land O' Lakes took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 33-31.

Land O' Lakes' loss came despite strong showings from Amelia Colon and Arianna Garcia. Colon had 17 digs and three aces, while Garcia had four digs and two aces. Colon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season.

Land O' Lakes now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sunlake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Land O' Lakes will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Tampa Catholic at 6:30 p.m. As for Sunlake, they will be taking part in a tournament against DeLand at 2:40 p.m. on Friday.
