Lexi Roben and Cassandra Sanchez made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Roben tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Sanchez struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Roben posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. At bat, Roben went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Sanchez went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. That home run was Sanchez's first of the season.
In other batting news, Reagan Bowman and Alana Sadie did most of the damage at the plate: Bowman got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, while Sadie went 2-for-3 with four runs and one RBI.
