Volleyball Recap: Homestead Starts Season with Win Against Aptos + How To Watch

Homestead had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Aptos Mariners as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Homestead never let Aptos on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-17.

Katie Hamburger paced Homestead's offense, picking up nine kills. Hamburger got some help from Lilian Logan and her 18 assists. Hamburger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Homestead will face off against Carlmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aptos, they will take on Monte Vista Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
