Preview: West Carrollton Pirates vs. Beaver Bobcats
West Carrollton has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Saturday. They will take on the Beaver Bobcats in a holiday battle at 3:30 p.m. at. Beaver took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on West Carrollton, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, West Carrollton was able to grind out a solid win over Piqua, taking the game 43-34.
Meanwhile, Beaver's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Fayette. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beaver has scored all season.
Brady Mayo put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. He scored a full 41.1% of Beaver's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nick Krzeczowski, who scored ten points along with four steals.
West Carrollton's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Beaver, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
