Volleyball Recap: St. Edward's Has No Trouble Against Sebastian River + How To Watch

St. Edward's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sebastian River Sharks with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sharks, too.

While St. Edward's won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-16.

Grace Clemente paced St. Edward's offense, picking up 16 kills. Clemente got some help from Margaret Fykes and her 36 assists. Grace Fykes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Sebastian River had strong showings from Taygen Ramos, who had ten digs, and Elizabeth Bryant, who had six digs and six assists.

St. Edward's record is now 11-9. As for Sebastian River, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Edward's will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sebastian River, they will head out on the road to square off against Melbourne at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
